Baby cake

Awhile back on my old blog I did a post about a cake I made for my sister. She know I was making a cake but had no idea how it was going to look.In my mind I had it all planed out.I wanted to bring most of the main necessity that a new mom and a baby would need to the cake.Like most ideas that become a sketch, the ideas don't always make it to the cake. I neared it so that the most of the every day items are there.Sadly it was a very hot day so the cake melted some but in the end I really like how it turned out.So enjoy the detailed pictures down below.

A week before the party I made a baby figure out of fondant( thick sugar paste ) along with a car seat, teddy bear, and diaper bag.

Here is a not so good close up of the teddy bear.I also made a diaper, blanket, and blocks.
And a close up of the car seat and baby booties.
Here is a bottle baby wipes, and baby powder
This is a view of the diaper bag and baby on the cake.
Here is a side view.I cut strips of fondant and using a stamp I got baby and bundle of joy around the cake.I rolled different size and color fondant balls for a border
Now the full view
