Soft Orange Cookies

I was in the mode for something tangy a couple weeks ago,so I made soft orange cookies.

Ingredients:
For cookies

2 medium oranges
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

 For optional icing:
1 tablespoon butter
1-2 cups powder sugar
1/4 cup orange juice

Step 1:  Preheat oven to 350 and line baking sheets with slap mat or parchment paper. If you have either DO NOT oil pan. In a bowl beat together butter, sugar, and milk. Set aside.

Step 2:  Zest the 2 oranges and juice oranges. Add the juice, a couple pieces of orange peel and zest In a blender. Try to get as much of the white part of the orange of first before adding the peel. Blend to a liquid state.

Step 3: Add the orange liquid to your butter sugar mix and beat well.

Step 4: Stiff together your dry ingredients; flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5: Add dry ingredients to your wet ingredients. Beat in till combined.

Step 6: Spoon about a teaspoon full of the mix on to your pan. Bake till it turns golden brown around the edges.

Step 7: While cookies are baking; in a bowl beat together orange juice and butter. Slowly add in your powder sugar.

Step 8: When your cookies have cooled icing if desired. Enjoy!

Side note: First time making these I only used 1 large orange and it was not quite tangy. So stick with 2 medium oranges. Also I saved some of the orange mix that was blended and used that in my icing instead of orange juice.

Cream Cheese Brownies

I had the taste of cream cheese brownies in my mouth for days so i decide to go ahead and make some.so today I will share with you how I made cream cheese brownies.

Ingredients you need are 8 oz cream cheese,3 eggs,1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup water,1 teaspoon sugar, and brownie mix.

Follow the instructions on the back of the brownie mix.

Spoon the batter into cupcake liners

In another bowl beat the cream cheese and 1 egg. Beat to it is creamy

Spoon the cream cheese batter on top of the brownie batter

With a toothpick stir around the cream cheese.Combining it with the brownie batter.
Bake at 350 for about 10-15 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
You can also touch the brownie and if it bounces back it's done.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.
                                                                          :)

I mixed in some blue food coloring inside some butter cream.Mixing it just until you can see the blue taking effect. My original plan was to make some gumpaste  toppers but I found  out I did not have fondant on hand.I want to make a ball, umbrella, beach towel, bucket and other little items.I think I will do an updated one someday.here is a picture to enjoy.

First add your dry ingredients and mix well

1/4 cup of sugar,3 cups of flour, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

                                                          1/4 teaspoon of salt

                                                               2 eggs beaten
                                                           Add to dry ingredients
It should look something like this

Go ahead an add 2 tablespoons of cold water

                                          2 tablespoons of white vinegar

                                                                  Mix it all up
Pour it out on to a floured counter

Cupcake Girls

Hello every body today I want to talk to you all about Cupcake Girls. The Cupcake Girls are two friends who own a cupcake shop in Canada. To know more about them click here http://www.cupcakesonline.com/ I heard about them through WEtv a couple years ago.I thought it was kind of a risky cool  that two people who know nothing about cupcakes decide to have a shop and are booming at what they do.

I decide on this topic because I was reading a book and it came to me that the book is just like them. The author's name is  Jenn McKinlay. She has written many books which I love. Her cupcake bakery mystery reminds me of the cupcake girls becuse its about two friends who own a shop together. The thing that makes it different is because the two friends in the book solve mysteries.I'm not in any why trying to say Mrs.McKinlay stole the cupcake girls.I just thought it's almost like having a face for the characters of the book.
If you girls and guys love cupcakes i recommend watching Cupcake Girls and reading the cupcake bakery mysteries.I believe that you all will love both of them very much.Cupcake Girls airs Saturdays at 9/8c on WEtv.So watch it.Enjoy a cupcake until next time :)
