Ramadan 2015

The Prophet(SallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
"The five daily prayers,Jumuah to Jumuah and Ramadhaan to Ramadhaan will expiate what is between them, as long as the major sins are avoided."[Bukharaa]

And he said:" He who fast Ramadhaan believing in Allah and hoping for his reward, Allah will forgive what has proceeded from his sins. He who stands in prayer in the month of Ramadhaan believing in Allah and hoping for his reward ,Allah will forgive what has proceeds from his sins. And he who stands in prayer on the night of power believing in Allah and hoping for his reward, Allah will forgive what has proceeded from his sins." {Bukharaa and Muslim}

The month of Ramadan is near or may have started depending on when you see this post. The last 3 weeks or so my local Masjid started doing classes and having lectures based on Ramadan. There where I believe 2 guest speakers Moosaa Richardson and Omar Quinn. They broke down and explained the meaning behind fast, where it is located in Hadith, information about topics that people are uncertain about, etc. If you are interested in hearing the talks you can hear them on spreaker.

How have I been preparing for Ramadan? I have been preparing for Ramadan by fasting, planing out what to eat for suhoor, and what meals to make for iftar. Having a plan for what to eat for suhoor and iftar makes it easy to get in and out of the kitchen quick. Fasting is not about beginning in the kitchen cooking for people its about becoming closer to Allah. Its abut taking the time to study. About helping others ie. feeding the poo.About reading the Quran and trying to have an understanding of it. Its about late night worship.

Insha'Allah I plan to do more of all these things and more. Insha'Allah this ramadan is peaceful and brings some happiness to us all. May Allah answer all of you duaa's. may you all grow stronger in you deen and emman.  Assalmualkium

Long time no write

Sorry I have not posted anything in a long time. Im posting this from my phone since it was driving me crazy not posting. Its not that I was busy or on vocation it was because my computer crashed. So I have been without my computer for about almost 3 months. Not fun at all. So can't wait for it to be fixed but the thing is I don't know how long that will take. Anyway my classes starts back Monday. This time I have biology 2,lab,and film. The school is still getting on my nerves but I'm trying to hang in there. My 2 youngest cousins are in town and have been for almost two months. They will be leaving on the 26 of this month. I have big plans for my life but I need a computer, car,and money. I just need to keep praying and hanging in there because if its meant for me to have it I will recive it. It may just not be in my time or the way I want it. Ramadan came and went so fast but I had a nice one. Also Eid was nice nothing big but spent some time with my grandma and watch movies with the fam. So what more can I ask for. I hope all is well with my lovely reads take care and till next peace and blessing.

Ice cream cake....school....Eid....

Ramadan has come to an end and Eid has come and went. Eid was Sunday August 19 2012. My mom invited some people over and we ate. Cooking and getting everything ready for the guest was hard. My back and feet where aching but, all is well.I made some cupcakes for the guest and they looked like this

I made a flower out of m&m's (petals) and chocolate chips (center).

Monday I decide to make any ice cream cake (I actually thought of it a week ago) any ways I saw a picture of any ice cream sandwich cake on pintrest. I replicated the the ice cream sandwich cake by making a cake and taking away the ice cream sandwiches. What I did was bake a 8in square chocolate cake, froze it for 30min, and trimmed it. Next I filled the middle with chocolate ice cream, m&m's and chocolate syrup, iced the cake with buttercream frosting, and froze again for 30mins. Finally I iced the cake again topped it with m&m's and chocolate syrup.

The finished product was amazing.

Yesterday was my first day back to school and it was a crazy first day. The book store was packed with only 2 cashiers who where so slow. Then finale another lady comes and helps and she goes way faster then the other 2 cashiers. I spent $200 on 3 books! College books are way over priced. I have 4 classes this semester; chemistry, chemistry lab, Arabic, and math. This semester will be one of the craziest and busiest so I need to focus if I want to past and take something from it. I have a schedule that I made and notes of my goals so it looks good. Insha'Allah (god willing) I pass.

How way your guys week? Was it as crazy and busy as mine? Or was it even more crazy and busy?
Comment and let me know I want to know hows your life is going.

Till the next post have a lovely blessed day.
                                                                         :)

Busy,Crazy,Ramadan and so much more

So much has been going on. I have had another busy week. School ended for the semester and I passed both my classes. I couldn't be  happier but, now I need to sign up for my classes next semester. For some reason there is an hold on my account that notes "foreign language" which means I need to take a foreign language class. If you read my past post you know I took Spanish for 3 semesters so I don't know why it says that. Monday I need to meet with my adviser to find out what to do. When the matter is done I think then I can have a little clarity. On a much better stand Ramadan is here!!! ( Ramadan is when Muslims don't eat form sunrise to sunset.) Tomorrow I plan on doing a post on Ramadan so you all can know a little more. Any ways Ramadan started on the 20 of July which was a Friday. What better day to start then on that day? I have a ton more post coming up so get ready to read. Speaking of reading........I have not read a book for pleasure in over 3 weeks. Help me need a book or four. So my plan for the rest of this month and next is to:

1.Do a "what's in my purse bag" post
2.Do a post about Ramadan
3.Do a craft post
4.Do a baking post
5.Garden post?
6.Plan out what I want to do in August for my blog and youtube. (this includes which days I want to post and uplode)

While that is my plan for the up coming weeks. So, I would love to hear what you guys plan on doing comment and let me know.

                                                    Ramadan Kareem!
                                                    Have a good week :)
